AMP is our patent-pending mechanism that pivots the beam splitter plate out of the optical path which allows 100% of the reflected light from the patient's eye to be transmitted back through the optics.
Performing retinal procedures with other microscopes reduces critical light back to the surgeon by 50%.
The LuxOR Q-Vue with AMP is the only microscope that provides increased illumination and visualization for the retinal specialist and assistant.

Q-Vue incorporates a stereo, binocular assistant scope that takes no light from the surgeon. Q-Vue (short for quad-view) provides independent lightpaths for the surgeon and assistant – essentially a separate microscope.
The Q-Vue assistant is integrated with our LuxOR optics, has its own magnification changer and swivels 180 degrees to accommodate for procedures on either the right or left eye.
This optical system is critical for retinal procedures because the true stereo optics with increased illumination provides for precise instrument placement.
EMI-99 is like no other floorstand! Our unique design not only looks great, it offers better ergonomics for the surgical staff…access to the patient's bed is no longer an issue for the circulators and/or anesthetist.
We've also incorporated electro-mechanical clutches to provide "free-floating" movement of the floorstand. Push-button release of the clutches integrated in the handlebars on the optics offers simple, quick adjustments with no bounce.
The electronics of the system are programmable, adjustable and reset with ease via our touchscreen, LIBERO-XY unit. Android-based software provides an open architecture to introduce various accessories and controls. And don't forget our reliable, wireless, rechargeable foot control – the best technology on the market!
